In the late 1950s, Aston Martin was working on a new model to follow the DB Mark III. Their first attempt, the DP114, had issues during testing and was replaced with the improved DP114/2 prototype. Rather than discarding the car, Aston Martin repurposed it for the private use of Sir David Brown’s wife. Painted white with a blue interior, the car was nicknamed the “Walls Ice Cream Van” and remained with Mrs Brown until 1962. After changing hands a couple of times, the vehicle fell into poor condition by the 1970s, until a former Aston Martin technician named Ivor Howells bought it for just £600 and began restoring it. 
In the 1980s, it was transformed into a competition car and later re-acquired by Aston Martin. A five-year restoration project followed, turning it into a show car once more. It even appeared on the popular British TV show Top Gear. Now finished in Almond Green with a matching interior, it remains a rare and charming piece of Aston Martin history as a one-of-a-kind prototype with a fascinating story.

In the early 2000s, the car was moved to Germany, where it underwent a full restoration between 2006 and 2011. It has retained its matching-numbers 3.9-litre transverse V-12 engine and won “Best Lamborghini” at Concorso Italiano’s Miura 50th Anniversary celebration. Such prestigious recognition is testament to the car’s innate quality, having required a full restoration to head the competition. The model featured at the Milan auction is accompanied by its books, tool roll, spare wheel, and fitted luggage set, and is expected to fetch a price in excess of €3,200,000.
Before the Lamborghini Miura, the AC Cobra 427 held the title of the world’s fastest car, but the Miura rewrote the rules, mixing speed with futuristic beauty, culminating in a new standard of what a supercar could be. Gianni Agnelli was one of the most powerful businessmen in Italy and the main shareholder of Fiat. At his peak, he controlled a large part of Italy’s economy and was known for his strong influence in both business and fashion. He was nicknamed "L’Avvocato" (The Lawyer) because of his law degree, even though he never practiced. Agnelli became a symbol of Italian style and leadership from the 1960s to the 1980s.
As the grandson of Fiat’s founder, Agnelli became the head of the company after losing his father at a young age. Under his leadership, Fiat became Italy’s top car brand and grew across Europe.
Agnelli loved cars and had several custom-built models. This month, three of those special vehicles will be sold at auction. They each show a different side of his personality and highlight what Fiat could achieve.
The most famous of the three is a 1974 Fiat 130 Familiare. It was built just for Agnelli and stayed with him for 11 years. Only three were ever made, all for the Agnelli family. This one is the first and has a silver exterior with fake wood trim and a roof rack with a wicker basket. Agnelli often used it in winter to carry his skis to St. Moritz.
Another car in the auction is a Panda 4x4, a second-generation model Agnelli used for 15 years. It was recently restored and is now one of the best Fiat Pandas still around.
The third car is a Lancia Thema Familiare, one of two prototypes made by Zagato, a famous Italian coachbuilder. Agnelli owned and used it for two years. Its design is similar to the Fiat 130 Familiare, making the group of three cars feel complete and well-matched. Bidding ends on April 24.

The cars come with great features, including 918 Spyder-style seats, leather interiors, Bose sound systems, and carbon fiber parts. The colors are eye-catching too, from classic black to bold shades like Indian Red and Racing Yellow.
To move this collection, a Rolfo Auriga transport truck is included. It has been upgraded to carry these cars safely and has only 500 km on it. The truck meets EURO 6 emissions rules and has a certificate that makes it easy to register in any EU country.

In the early 1970s, Doğançay introduced the Ribbons series, a pivotal moment in his artistic evolution. These works marked a shift away from the textured realism of his earlier collages, embracing a more elegant and abstract visual language. While retaining a strong connection to the urban landscape, the Ribbons series evokes the flowing rhythm of cursive Islamic calligraphy—a resemblance Doğançay acknowledged in the titles of select works, while others were left untitled to encourage personal interpretation. Throughout his prolific career, he developed 14 distinct series, each exploring the symbolic language of the city through different materials and approaches. From the 1960s onwards, collage became his medium of choice, a fitting technique for capturing the layered and fragmented narratives found in built environments. 
Doğançay’s work has been exhibited extensively and now forms part of prestigious permanent collections across the globe, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim in New York, the British Museum in London, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and the Albertina in Vienna—testament to the resonance and relevance of his vision.

When McLaren introduced the P1 in 2013, it wasn’t just entering the hybrid hypercar race — it was redefining it. As the final member of the celebrated trio alongside the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder, the P1 ushered in a new design philosophy for McLaren. With its bold aesthetics and cutting-edge mechanics, the P1 cemented its status as a revolutionary successor to the legendary F1. Limited to just 375 units, exclusivity was part of the P1's DNA. Yet, for many owners, personalisation was key. While some opted for subtle nods to the classic F1’s design, others pushed the boundaries. This particular P1, owned by a collector in Qatar, is a prime example of unrestrained creativity. It boasts a striking matte green exterior — a rare finish even among P1s — contrasted with bold accents in papaya orange, a shade known as ‘McLaren Orange’ and famously tied to the brand’s racing heritage. Even the logos, traditionally red, were custom-painted in the same vivid orange. The result is a car that feels electric even when standing still. This 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo S is a living testament to Porsche's air-cooled era, a period many purists regard as the brand’s golden age. Originally delivered to Brumos in Jacksonville, Florida — a dealership synonymous with Porsche excellence — it is one of only 183 US models produced. Rarer still, it’s one of just three finished in the exquisite Viola Metallic. Inside, the uniqueness continues. The cabin is dressed in Rubicon Grey leather, punctuated by vibrant Speed Yellow stitching, seatbelts, and trim. Add in a digital sound package, heated racing seats, Litronic headlights, embossed headrests, and 18-inch light-alloy wheels, and this Turbo S becomes a work of both engineering and art. Having passed through only five owners, the car has been meticulously cared for, with Porsche Westmont and Barnaba Autosport overseeing its maintenance. In 2022, Barnaba performed comprehensive mechanical servicing to ensure the car’s performance remains as razor-sharp as ever. With fewer than 26,000 miles on the clock, this Turbo S is more than just a collector's piece — it’s a spirited celebration of Porsche's relentless pursuit of perfection.

The 1980s marked AMG’s ascent into the American market, thanks in part to the partnership between Hans Werner Aufrecht, AMG’s co-founder, and Richard Buxbaum of Classic Motors in Illinois. Their collaboration brought the magic of German engineering to the US, with custom ‘Westmont’ builds quickly becoming legendary. One car in particular — a 1984 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL 5.0 AMG nicknamed “Blueberry” — tells a story as captivating as its color. Inspired by Buxbaum’s offhand remark about the lack of ‘great colours’ available for the 500 SEL, Aufrecht set out to create something truly unique. Sourcing a German-built 500 SEL, Aufrecht painted it in an exceptionally rare Lapis Metallic Blue. Even the chrome trim was painstakingly matched to the same deep blue hue. The interiors were equally arresting: Orion Grey leather with delicate variations in tone, and zebrano wood reimagined in pickled grey. The car’s nickname, 'Blueberry,' perfectly captured its bold yet sophisticated personality. Originally intended as a Christmas gift for the Buxbaums — with the invoice cheekily addressed to Richard’s wife, Robin — Blueberry became both a cherished family car and a symbol of AMG’s craftsmanship. It was briefly sold to billionaire Rick Cohen, who eventually traded it back on a quest for an even newer model. After some more time in the Buxbaums’ care, it was acquired by Mercedes-Benz specialist John Quay, who had personally worked on it during the time it was owned by Cohen. Quay used the car for several years before retiring it permanently in a covered barn. He finally sold it back to the Buxbaums, who had been on a years-long quest to repurchase it, in 2022.
